Die hard film review
I really like this film, i think that Bruce Willis and Samuel L jackson's performence's are very believable. The mood of the film stays the same through out, which is quite dark, but funny at the same time.
They use varied lighting during the film, some times there are just silhouettes which makes you think about what the character is feeling as you cannot see thier face. Or, sometims they use them to create shaddows, e.g. during the film there are shaddows of people running up a tunnel, which creates the effect that they are bigger than usual.
The storyline is easy to follow as it was not too complex, it doesn't have any flash backs, which could sometimes seem confusing. Through out the film the tension rised. To achieve this they used music, some of which gave a comical feel to it. E.g. they used the song ( the animals went in two by two) when they were breaking into a bank. I think they used this because before you saw this, Bruce Willis solved a riddle to do with children and anilmals.)
Before you watch the film you would be able to tell which genre it was by 1. looking at the cover, 2. by reading the name. So by reading this you thought it would be a predictable action film. However, during the film you find out why the German terrorist was trying to kill Bruce Willis, which was not what you thought at first.
Overall, i thought this was a good film. I would recomend this film to all action film lovers. Also my dad who is 41, all ages of people would like this film including my grandad who is 75.
