The Orphanage.

The Orphanage is a Spanish film by Sergio G Sanchez. A women called Laura moves back into her home where she lived as a little girl, an orphanage. She decides to renovate it, and turn it back in to an orphanage for disabled children.

Her son Simon, is a lonely child, and his only friends are made-up. This starts to worry Laura, along with the strange games he starts to play. The games become more realistic when he's convinced that his new friend Tomas is real. The game involves taking something you love most and hiding it, the aim is to find it again following the clues. She doesn't believe her son, and thinks he's doing it for attention. But as the game slowly becomes more real, and Simon disappears without a trace, could she start to believe?...

Belen Rueda-Laura, gives convincing portrayal as a mother desperately trying to find her son, and solve the strange puzzles behind his disappearance. The subtitles don't bother you after the first 5 minutes due to the engaging story line, and unpredictable twist at the end.
