I've watched a few films with subtitles before i watched The Orphanage so i didn't really mind too much. One I've watched before is House of flying daggers, which i thought was really good.
Once you forget that your actually reading the film and not listening to it, you forget what your doing and just concentrate on the film its self. So in The Orphanage i got so used to reading it, i totally forgot, and only at the end did i remember. Also i think if your going to watch a film with subtitles you should make sure its going to interest you. Otherwise i think you'll be concentrating on reading, and how annoying it is, and thinking ''why couldn't this just be in English''.
So overall i didn't mind watching a subtitled film, and i wouldn't mind watching one again, as long as i new it was going to be good, because with The Orphanage i new it was going to be good because my mum's seen and told me to watch it too.
